Second round of the Enduro World Championship in Valpaços, Portugal, about 160 km north of Porto.
After the resounding debut in Germany, once again Honda RedMoto World Enduro Team was among the major player of an exciting and hot weekend.
12 special tests in two days of the race: 1 dusty cross test, 1 demanding enduro test and 1 extreme on huge rocks, to repeat 4 times.
After the podium conquered in Germany, Christophe Charlier hit another amazing performance in the E2 class with the Honda-RedMoto CRF 450RX Enduro.
The French finished second in both the days, penalized by a broken right big toe, only behind an uncatchable Salvini. Christophe won 4 special tests on Saturday and 3 on Sunday: thanks to this double second position, now he is second in the standing.
After the good third position in Friday’s Supertest, Thomas Oldrati faced two tough days in search of the right feeling on the hard Portuguese ground. He finished twice 4thwith the Honda-RedMoto CRF 250RX Enduro, close to the podium of a hard-fought E1. He missed the top three on Saturday after a challenge until the last special with Cavallo and Guarneri; while on Sunday because of a fall in the first test.
Next competition is this weekend in Santiago di Compostela, Spain, third round of the World Championship.

"Good race with two second places. No mistakes had to be made to win and unfortunately, I made some. The team worked well and I gave my best despite last week I broke my right big toe. I raced without painkillers, but I felt the pain in the transfers”. "Good race with two second places. No mistakes had to be made to win and unfortunately, I made some. "On Saturday I fought all day long for the third position. On Sunday I started with a fast pace up, but at the beginning I lost about twenty seconds for a crash and I struggled to recover even though the times were good. I’m happy with the result even if this was not my type of race, I would like to find more real enduro tests”.
"Positive race. Christophe pushed in both the days getting two excellent second positions. Thomas struggled on this type of ground, but he was fast and the gaps were minimal. We are moving to Spain ready to face the third round of the World Championship”.
